Julius Eugene Lucas 85, of Yuba City, passed away on May 26, 2010. He was born on August 24, 1924 in Chandler, OK. He was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 58 years and a Brick Mason. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Essie Faye Lucas of Yuba City; son Edward Lucas of Sacramento, daughter, Denise Phillips of Elk Grove, sons Robert Lucas of Moreno Valley, & Michael Lucas of Riverside; his sister, Abbie Leach of Oklahoma, and Violet Floyd of Minnesota, Floyd Lucas and a host of grand- children, nieces and nephews. Julius was a veteran of the U.S. Army in World War II, a member of the Church of Living God and a member of Local 185. Viewing will be at 10am with Memorial Services at 12pm on Thursday, June 3, at the Sierra View Cemetery.
