Michael Paul Dant, 52, left this world and moved through the Eternal Stargate on November 23, 2009 in Grass Valley, CA. Born in Topeka, KS, he was a resident in the Yuba-Sutter area for over 30 years. Michael was a Service Engineer in the television and electronics industry for 29 years. He worked for the Grass Valley Group on projects reaching around the world. He was known for his laughter, his sense of humor and his love of video games and roller skating. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Sharon (Day) Dant; his daughter, Jessica Dant and her husband, Jason; three sons; Ryan Dant of Yuba City and his wife, Samantha, Eric Dant of Marysville and his fianc, Morgan Bischoff, and by Richard (RJ) Dant of Marysville. He is also survived by 3 granddaughters: Erica, Emily and Elora; his parents, Richard H. and Mary K. Dant, and by 3 brothers: Terry (his twin), Kelly and Tim, along with a sister, Erin. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Robert Day. There will be a Memorial Service at the Trinity Life Church, 990D, Klamath Lane, in Yuba City on Friday, Nov. 27, 2009 from 12:00 - 4:00 pm. Michael will be laid to rest in Sutter District Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Sierra View Mortuary, Olivehurst, CA.
